Every digital DJ or Karaoke host in the UK is required by law to have a ProDub license.

The ProDub license includes:
- Copyright in the Musical Work (MCPS)
- Copyright in the Sound Recording (PPL)
- Permission to run back up files of legal discs onto another format.

Basically if you are running a karaoke or are a DJ and are running copied songs from your CDs on a laptop and you don't have a ProDub license - you are breaking the law!
